We got several bids to install a new metal roof on our house. Zack showed up the same day we called to ask for an estimate, physically inspected the roof and checked the trusses and soffits, put everything back and cleaned up after himself.

Some of the other roofing companies never even showed, and one submitted a bid $10,000 more than Zack’s without ever having seen or inspected the roof physically.

Zack was extremely accommodating about revising our bid when we wanted to switch to a higher gauge metal and add gutters. He was clear about anticipating problems that might occur once they opened the roof up and what the potential expenses might run us. He promised to fit us in within 2 months but actually started and finished the job within 1 month from when he gave us the bid. His crew were amazing and were extremely detail oriented, and their clean up was so thorough you never would have known they had been there. Throughout the process Zack kept in communication with us, letting us know when they would show up. As previously mentioned, when they opened up the roof, they found that most of the underlying panels were compromised and not in great shape. The estimate called for half of the panels to be replaced. Zack immediately called us to notify us of the situation and offered us several options. We chose to replace all of the panels and Zack went out of his way to give us a price break.

Throughout the bidding and construction process we were in constant contact with one of our sons who is an engineer and builder. He confirmed everything Zack said to us, ( he inspected the roof in April when he did some work on the house). We also sent pictures to him as the roof progressed and he was impressed by the quality of workmanship and the materials Zack was using.

Long story short, you definitely should hire Western Montana Roofing if you need work done on your roof. Especially, if you are considering a metal roof. Zack is an excellent communicator, straightforward and extremely easy to deal with. He does excellent work without trying to gouge you. Our experience with Western Montana Roofing and Zack has been extremely positive and we highly recommend them!!

Fantastic! Asked Walker to take a look at my roof, after watching him and his colleagues do a great job on my neighbor’s. He noticed a major issue (loose ridge cap, probably from the big wind storm last summer, that I couldn’t see from the ground) and repaired it for what I know was way, way below the market rate. I subsequently realized that leaves, dirt, and some water had been coming into my attic through the exposed ridgeline; no real damage, but it would have been bad if Walker hadn’t caught the issue in time. I’m very grateful and will certainly be calling Western Montana Roofing if/when I have any issues in the future. I’d highly recommend.

I was taking bids on a new roof for my house and shop. My wife handed me a news paper insert for Western Montana Roofing. In short. I called them for a quote. Chad came right over to see the job. I had a quote the next day. Within a week they had completed the job and cleaned the job site up. I had a chance to communicate with all three reps during the process, Zach, Carson, and Chad. I was very Happy with the reroofing job done by Western Montana Roofing. They started the job around 8 am on Wednesday and had the whole house and attached 3 car garage completed the next day by 4 pm. A through cleanup was done at the end of each day and they returned another time to recheck. I did find a couple of nails and small scraps of tarpaper in the back yard that had fallen into some deep snow. That was the only place that I found anything that was missed.

I called WMR to find out if my roof needed to be replaced. I hadn’t noticed any signs of damage, but the roof is old and my house is right in the path of the Hellgate winds, so I expected the worst. WMR sent Shaun out to take a look. He easily could have taken advantage of me because my house is three stories high and sandwiched between tall buildings, making impossible for me to even see most of the roof, and I probably wouldn’t know what to look for anyway. Happily, though, Shaun said my roof is in pretty good shape and he didn’t charge me for his inspection. When I asked how fire-resistant the roof is, he gave me the address of a lab where I could get a sample shingle tested, but before I got around to it Shaun did it himself for no extra charge. I got good news there too, so thanks to Shaun I feel a lot more secure going into fire season.

These guys are a God-send! Missoula recently went through a wind-storm, resulting in downed trees, powerlines and roofs. Our roof was down to bare plywood and another rain storm was coming in.
